Headies 2023 I’ll never be grateful for winning a category unannounced on stage Ayra Starr – Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr has stated that she won’t be grateful for winning a Headies award in an unannounced category.
The singer made this known on her X page on Monday.
Ayra Starr was awarded the best female artiste of the year on Sunday during the Headies award at Atlanta.
She was nominated alongside singers Simi, Tiwa Savage, and Tems, who won the 2022 edition of this category.
She wrote,” I will never be grateful for winning a category that wasn’t even deemed fit to be announced on stage! Best female artist, na beans?
“We work hard, every single one of us! I’ve seen Tiwa record four hit songs on the same night. Tems breathes and lives for music.
“We didn’t deserve such nonchalance! Nigeria, you didn’t raise me to settle for less.”
